As far back as I can remember, I was drawing Disney characters off the boxes of VHS tapes with my grandmother.
This was back when getting in trouble for daydreaming and drawing pictures in elementary school was a regular occurrence.
After taking every single art class available in High School, I was accepted at the School of Visual Arts where my drawing ability became
more of an identity than a hobby. I picked up a paint brush for the first time in my life sophomore year and like most late learned skills, I was eager to make up for lost time.
Taking classes at SVA and the Illustration Masters Class at Amherst College, I've had a chance to
study with some of my idols. I thank them in giving me the ability to earn a scholarship from the Society of Illustrators 2009 Student Competition.
